You will also lead consulting and advisory efforts to identify tax savings opportunities, support audit defense, and provide due diligence, planning, and valuation support. In this role, you will collaborate with clients and internal teams to address complex property tax matters, leveraging technology to deliver high-quality and efficient solutions. Your day-to-day may include:
Oversee preparation and review of property tax returns and coordinate timely tax payments across jurisdictions Manage client engagements and serve as a primary point of contact for compliance and consulting services Identify property tax savings opportunities through consulting, planning, and analysis Lead audit defense efforts and respond to taxing authority inquiries Support due diligence, planning, and valuation-related activities Leverage technology and data tools to improve accuracy and efficiency Supervise and develop team members while ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables Collaborate with clients to address complex property tax matters and align strategies with business objectives Support business development efforts, including identifying opportunities, contributing to proposals, and expanding client relationships You have the following technical skills and qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field. Minimum six years of property tax compliance and/or tax consulting CPA, JD, or Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation required Strong knowledge of personal and/or real property tax rules and valuation principles Proficiency with property tax software and data tools (e.g., PTMS, Power BI, or similar) Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proven experience leading teams and reviewing deliverables for quality and accuracy Strong client communication skills with ability to provide practical, solution-oriented advice Experience supporting business development efforts and client growth initiatives Ability to travel as needed The base salary range for this position is between $138,000 and $172,500. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton's discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity.
