COMPENSATION
$120,000.00 - $150,000.00 base, depending on experience

POSITION SUMMARY
The Tax Manager will play a critical leadership role within the firm's tax practice. This position is ideal for a technically strong tax professional who excels in reviewing complex returns, conducting tax research, and managing client relationships. The Tax Manager will oversee tax engagements from start to finish while mentoring junior staff and working closely with firm leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review complex federal and multi-state tax returns, including 1040, 1120, 1120-S, 1065, and 1041.
  • Perform advanced tax research and planning for closely held businesses, high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and partnerships.
  • Manage and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Oversee tax engagements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
  • Supervise, mentor, and review work prepared by junior tax professionals.
  • Collaborate with partners on complex tax matters and client strategies.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide technical guidance as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
  • 6-10+ years of public accounting tax experience.
  • Active CPA license is required.
  • Strong review experience across all major return types.
  • Demonstrated strength in tax research and planning.
  • Experience with federal and multi-state taxation.
  • Background working with closely held businesses and HNW clients.
  • Stable employment history; minimal job changes preferred.
  • Master's in Taxation is considered a plus.
