This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring full tax compliance while also driving strategic tax planning initiatives that support broader business objectives. This role is well-suited for a CPA with strong corporate tax experience who is ready to step into a hands-on leadership position with increased visibility and influence across the organization. Key Responsibilities for the Tax Manager Lead the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns across corporate, partnership, and individual filings Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company's overall tax position Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local tax regulations Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies Manage IRS and state audit processes, including documentation, analysis, and resolution support Oversee ASC 740 tax accounting and partner with finance during close and reporting cycles Supervise, mentor, and develop junior tax staff Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve tax processes and internal controls Qualifications for the Tax Manager Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's in Taxation preferred) CPA certification required 5+ years of progressive tax experience with prior leadership or supervisory experience Strong technical knowledge of corporate tax, multi-state tax, and ASC 740 accounting Experience with tax software (OneSource, CCH, Vertex, or similar) and ERP systems Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills Why Join as the Tax Manager?
