Job Description

Senior Tax ManagerManhattan, Kansas Public Accounting firm locally owned and established in 1946, seeks a motivated professional for our growing staff. The firm has an opportunity for a talented and ambitious Senior Tax Manager. Four to five years of direct tax experience required and CPA preferred.

Our firm is service-oriented, providing clients with a high degree of tax planning and consulting services. We provide a professional atmosphere, opportunities for growth and room for advancement.

We offer competitive salaries (commensurate with experience), excellent benefit packages, flexible scheduling, and no overnight travel is required.
Job Type:
Full-Time, In-PersonQualifications:
  • Current CPA license preferred or actively pursuing a CPA license
  • 4-5 years of direct tax experience
  • Proven proficiency in preparation of tax returns
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Dedication to client service and meets internal and external client deliverables
  • Must be team-oriented but able to work independently
  • Exhibits core values of integrity, accountability, leadership and professionalism
  • Experience with Thomson Reuters Ultra Tax/Accounting CS a plus
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong working knowledge of general accounting and accounting systems
  • Understanding of the technical aspects of tax preparation and complianceResponsibilities include:
  • Tax return preparation and review
  • Tax planning and consulting for clients
  • Financial Statement preparation
  • Payroll and Payroll tax compliance
  • Respond to IRS and State tax notices
  • Assist with tax research
