Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Manager to lead our tax planning, compliance, and reporting initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will oversee complex tax strategies, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and provide expert guidance on tax law and accounting standards. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies, including estate planning, corporate tax optimization, and individual tax solutions. Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Provide guidance on complex tax issues and be able to deal with the tax authorities. Collaborate with accounting teams to reconcile general ledger accounts, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and interpret financial statements for tax implications. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax law changes and industry best practices to optimize tax reporting strategies. Support financial report writing and interpretation efforts by providing detailed analysis of tax-related data. Assist in budgeting processes related to taxes and financial planning initiatives. Communicate effectively with clients or internal stakeholders regarding complex tax concepts. Experience Proven experience in public accounting or corporate finance with a focus on tax accounting or regulatory compliance accounting. Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws, including individual tax, corporate tax expertise, estate planning, wills & trusts & estate law. Demonstrated ability in auditing procedures, account reconciliation, financial analysis, and financial statement preparation. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Lacerte or similar platforms is a must. Excellent analytical skills combined with effective client communication abilities.
