Job Description

Position Overview Kawa, Ascenzi, Corbishley & Carroccio CPAs provides tax, accounting, bookkeeping, financial statement, and consulting services to individuals and closely held businesses. We are seeking an experienced tax and accounting professional for a full-time supervisory or management position. The successful candidate will prepare and review tax returns, supervise client accounting and financial statement engagements, assist with tax planning, and provide guidance to staff. This person will be an integral member of the firm and will have the opportunity to assume increasing client service and leadership responsibilities. Role and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, estate, and trust income tax returns.
  • Perform tax planning and research and communicate recommendations to clients.
  • Assist with new-client proposals, client development, and firm-growth initiatives.
  • Perform and supervise compilation and review engagements and prepare the related financial statements.
  • Perform and review bookkeeping, write-up, adjusting-entry, and other client accounting services using QuickBooks.
  • Manage assigned engagements and ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and review support to tax preparers and accounting staff. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • At least two years of progressively responsible public accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns.
  • Experience supervising staff and managing multiple engagements and deadlines.
  • Experience with compilation and review engagements and applicable professional standards.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop; experience with Drake Tax is helpful.
  • CPA license or progress toward CPA licensure is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Position Details and Benefits
  • Full-time position with no regular travel required.
  • Monday through Friday schedule, with additional hours required during tax season.
  • Generous paid time off, retirement plan, and performance-based bonus opportunity.
  • Salary range: $75,000 to $125,000, based on experience and qualifications.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
