Tax Manager - Public

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, including corporate, partnership, and individual filings.
• Provide strategic tax planning and compliance guidance to clients, ensuring adherence to current laws and regulations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service and addressing their tax-related needs.
• Analyze complex tax issues and develop effective solutions to support clients' financial goals.
• Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering growth and development within the department.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, staying up-to-date on changes in tax legislation.
• Collaborate with clients on entity formation and structuring to maximize tax benefits.
• Utilize tax software, such as CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax, to streamline processes and ensure accuracy.
• Manage annual income tax provisions and ensure timely filings.
• Handle engagement management responsibilities, including planning, budgeting, and client communication.
