Job Description
Tax Manager System One is partnering with a client seeking an experienced Tax Manager to oversee fuel and sales tax compliance, reporting, audits, and tax-related initiatives. This role will be responsible for managing tax filings, supporting business operations with tax guidance, and leading a team of tax professionals. Key Responsibilities Motor fuel excise tax returns Sales tax returns Tax rate updates for billing Responding timely to customer inquiries related to tax rates, exemptions, etc. Leading fuel and sales tax audits with states and the IRS Review of tax diligence reports for potential acquisitions Manages 2-4 analysts In office 5 days a week Qualifications Strong experience with sales tax and/or fuel tax compliance. Experience managing tax audits Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Prior leadership or team management experience preferred. Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday.
