Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager - Tax & Treasury Focus to support the financial operations of the business with an emphasis on tax compliance, treasury management, cash flow oversight, and financial reporting. This role blends hands-on accounting responsibilities with treasury and tax functions while also providing leadership and support within the accounting department. The ideal candidate will be analytical, highly organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Tax & Compliance Support federal, state, and local tax compliance activities Assist with preparation of tax filings, schedules, and supporting documentation Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors as needed Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements Treasury & Cash Management Manage daily treasury activities including cash flow monitoring and banking transactions Assist with liquidity planning and cash forecasting Maintain banking relationships and support treasury reporting requirements Monitor cash positions and support working capital management initiatives Accounting & Financial Reporting Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses Assist in preparation and review of financial statements and variance reporting Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Operational & Leadership Support Partner with operations and leadership teams to support financial decision-making Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies Provide guidance and support to accounting staff as needed Assist with implementation and maintenance of financial processes and controls Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required Experience with tax compliance, treasury, or cash management functions preferred Manufacturing, industrial, or recycling industry experience preferred Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus Technical Skills Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting ERP system experience required; Dynamics 365 preferred Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with financial analysis and reporting tools preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and communication skills Collaborative, hands-on approach with the ability to work cross-functionally
