5+ Years of Public Accounting Tax Experience•-HNW Tax ManagerPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced HNW Tax Manager to lead tax compliance and planning for high net worth individuals, families, and their related entities. This role involves managing client engagements from planning through filing, delivering strategic tax advice, ensuring high quality work product, and developing a team of tax professionals within a public accounting environment. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong client service skills, and leadership experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage and execute tax compliance for high net worth individuals, families, trusts, estates, partnerships, and closely held businessesOversee the preparation and review of individual, fiduciary, partnership, and corporate tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1041, 1120, and 1120SLead tax planning initiatives focused on income tax minimization, estate and gift planning, charitable strategies, and wealth transfer planningServe as the primary client contact for tax matters and provide proactive, trusted tax adviceReview and approve workpapers, tax returns, and complex tax positions to ensure accuracy and compliance with firm and professional standardsSupervise, mentor, and develop staff and senior associates through delegation, coaching, and performance feedbackCoordinate with investment advisors, estate attorneys, and other external professionals to deliver integrated client solutionsManage tax notices, audits, and controversy matters, including drafting responses and working with tax authoritiesIdentify process improvements and implement best practices to increase efficiency and quality of tax engagementsStay current on federal, state, and relevant international tax developments affecting high net worth clients and translate changes into practical guidanceParticipate in business development efforts, including client meetings, proposals, and marketing initiatives focused on the HNW marketQualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting or related field required; Masters degree or advanced tax coursework preferredCertified Public Accountant required5 plus years of progressive tax experience, with significant experience serving high net worth clients in public accountingStrong technical expertise with individual, fiduciary, partnership, and corporate tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1041, 1120, and 1120SDeep knowledge of tax issues impacting high net worth individuals, including estate and gift taxation, trusts, partnerships, and closely held businessesDemonstrated experience leading engagements and managing teams in a public accounting environmentExcellent client service and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearlyStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesProficiency with tax software such as Lacerte, ProSeries, or Drake, and strong Microsoft Excel skillsAbility to contribute to business development and maintain long term HNW client relationships
