Job Title:
Partnership Tax Senior Manager forMultiple Openings Approved Locations:
379 Thornall St, Edison, NJ 08837. Telecommuting permitted less than 50% per week within the same geographic location as the assigned Grant Thornton office location.Job Description:
Your day-to-day will include: Manage multiple senior level client (internal/external) relationships by consulting with internal and external stakeholders to address issues or complete complex work including conducting primary and secondary reviews of complex tax returns and provide tax consulting. Make recommendations on return preparation and tax savings opportunities, focusing on accuracy, quality and client service. Evaluate the tax aspects of partnership agreements and manage the client's Internal Revenue Code (IRC) 704b accounts. Provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients. Research and consult on various tax matters, primarily in Sub-chapter K-Partnership taxation; utilize tax-related software to prepare and process returns and research tax matters. Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities. Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure deadlines are met and enhance client relationships. Market, sell, design, and implement tax-planning strategies for clients and manage budget. Oversee multiple engagements/projects or processes by coordinating and executing work plans; managing the work of the team; managing risk; identifying and securing resources to resolve complex issues; collaborating with other service lines/functions, the shared service center, and/or external vendors; and monitoring quality of deliverables/work products. Proactively develop, implement, manage, or assist with budgets, billing activities, balance sheets, and/or ongoing staffing requirements for engagements/projects; and identify and communicating engagement/project variances (e.g., progress, overruns, and expansion of scope) to leadership and/or stakeholders in a timely manner. Participate in or lead the development of proposals and presentations, and track and articulate return on investment or benefit realization for work or proposed solutions. Establish a presence in the market or community by actively participating in or taking leadership roles in professional, industry, trade association, or community organization, or contributing to thought leadership (e.g., articles, speaking engagements). Develop and retain talent by training, coaching, and mentoring others. Supervises 2 subordinates- Associates and Senior Associates. - Three or Four Year Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, a related field, or a foreign equivalent. Relevant experience
- 5 years of progressively responsible postbaccalaureate experience in job offered or any controls/analyst related job titles.
