Responsibilities / What
You'll Do Be the primary escalation point for tax-technical questions from junior and senior accountants before leadership gets involved — expected to operate independently within 30 days. Lead weekly one-on-ones with junior accountants built around compiled peer review notes. Run tech huddles for junior and senior groups, maintaining one consistent standard across both. Facilitate group coaching sessions on recurring quality issues and hold regular office hours. Compile peer review notes from senior reviewers into an executive summary report Own final call on any peer review disagreements by reviewing the return directly. Set and manage review cadence by accountant level, calibrated to each stage of development. Conduct mock client calls and mock interviews for candidates Oversee the intern program. Produce tax content for marketing and internal teams as needed; maintain and improve the internal tax knowledge library. Evaluate the technical capabilities of tax teams at acquired firms during due diligence and post-close. Lead integration of acquired tax accountants through the transition period. Qualifications CPA license required 5+ years of tax experience Tax expertise must be deep enough that the supervisor fields zero technical questions from the trainer after 30 days. Skilled in mentoring and supporting team members. Excellent communication and team advisory skills.
