Job Description

Tax Manager A well-established and highly respected public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA who enjoys working closely with clients, mentoring staff, and providing strategic tax guidance while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and review a variety of tax engagements for business and individual clients.
  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns.
  • Provide proactive tax planning and consulting services.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for clients.
  • Research complex tax issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Lead client meetings and strengthen long-term client relationships.
  • Review work prepared by staff and senior accountants, providing coaching and mentorship.
  • Assist with workflow management, engagement planning, and project oversight.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on client service initiatives and team development.
Qualifications
  • Active CPA license required.
  • 5+ years of public accounting tax experience.
  • Strong experience preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns.
  • Generalist tax background preferred.
  • Experience with High-Net-Worth Individuals, Trust & Estate taxation, and tax planning is highly desirable.
  • Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, and develop team members.
  • Excellent technical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
