) About theRole:
We are seeking an experienced Remote Tax Manager to help lead our growing team our team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and promptness of tax filings prepared by our staff. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically proficient, and skilled at guiding both clients and junior accountants through complex tax matters. As the manager, you will be required to manage an outsourced team, review prepared returns for accuracy, create a schedule to have returns completed by the designated deadline, create training for new hires, and be responsible for the smooth operation workflow.Key Responsibilities:
Manage a remote outsourced team Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates Verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with tax laws and internal standards Train new hires Provide technical guidance and mentorship to staff and junior preparers Communicate review findings clearly and constructively to preparers Work directly with clients on planning strategies and clarification of complex tax issues Assist in implementing and refining review procedures and quality control systems Stay current with tax law updates and regulatory changes Identify potential tax-saving opportunities during the review process Required Qualifications Experience reviewing tax returns in a high-volume firm- Required Active EA or CPA license
- Required Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- Required 5+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax return preparation and review
- Required Strong technical knowledge of tax code, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Required Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Required Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment
