Job Description
Tax Manager| Amarillo | $130k - $150k 5+ Years Public Accounting Experience | CPA Required Most firms tell you they're different. This one simply expects you to work 45 to 50 hours during busy season instead of wearing burnout as a badge of honour. They cover 100% of your medical insurance, reward every hour over 40 with comp time, offer hybrid working, contribute 3% to your 401(k) after 1 year, and even book you a massage during busy season. Funny how the little things add up. If you're a Tax Manager who's found yourself spending more time managing internal chaos than helping clients, this could be worth a conversation. This is a well-established public accounting firm that's been serving clients for decades, but it doesn't feel stuck in the past. The original leadership has gradually handed over the reins, the firm has grown significantly over the last 5 years, and they're looking for someone who wants to be part of what comes next. The client base keeps things interesting too. Agriculture, oil and gas, real estate, construction, manufacturing, medical groups, restaurants and closely held businesses. You'll work across individual, S Corps, partnerships, trusts and estates, with plenty of variety but without endless C Corp work. They're ideally looking for a CPA with around 5 to 8 years of public accounting tax experience who's interested in building towards Partner. Hybrid working is available, although being local enough to meet clients a couple of times a week is important. Here's the part most people get wrong: you don't need to tick every box to introduce yourself. The apply button is not legally binding. Worst case? We chat, decide the timing isn't right, and you carry on. Best case? You bag yourself a fantastic new position. Prefer the human touch? Great, I'm at 512-647-2214. Sometimes Indeed hides my number. If they're sneaky like that, you'll find my details on LinkedIn. I'm Laura Serena Rose at Distinct North America. Also, I get it can be hard to talk with the fear of your Managing Partner walking past your office. I'm around early (7am CST) and after-hours too.
