Job Description
Tax Manager | Future Partner Opportunity Arlington, Texas $120,000 to $150,000 plus paid overtime You may already be doing much of the work expected from a future Partner. You manage client relationships, review complex tax work, support staff, solve problems, and keep engagements moving. What may still be missing is a clear route from that responsibility to ownership. This established independent CPA firm in Arlington TX is hiring with succession in mind. The firm has served its clients for more than 30 years, has a team of approximately 10 to 15 people, and is currently led by 2 CPAs. It is looking for a Tax Manager who can gradually become central to the client base, the team, and the future leadership of the practice. For the right person, that progression can lead to Partnership and ownership. This is not an immediate title or a guaranteed timeline. It is an opportunity to earn a genuine stake in the firm by protecting client relationships, leading people well, making sound decisions, and helping carry the practice forward. Why this could be a meaningful move You will take responsibility for an established portfolio and build direct relationships with long standing clients. You will work closely with the current CPA leadership and gain visibility into how the practice operates. You will have the chance to influence workflow, staff development, client service, and the future direction of the firm. The practice is independently owned, with no outside investor directing its priorities. Additional busy season hours are recognised through paid overtime. There may also be an opportunity to bring and develop an existing client book, where relevant. Most importantly, the firm is not simply filling another Manager position. It is looking for someone who could become part of its long term future. The work Tax is the main focus of the role. The client base includes individuals, owner managed businesses, and long standing relationships across Arlington and the surrounding area. You will work across individual returns, Schedule C businesses, S corporations, and partnerships, along with some general accounting, planning, and advisory support.
