Tax Manager:
Prepare and review a variety of federal, state, and local tax filings for a diverse client portfolio, including exempt organizations, businesses, and individual taxpayers. Prepare and review corporate, partnership, and individual income tax returns, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission. Manage multiple tax engagements simultaneously, including monitoring filing deadlines, extension requests, estimated tax payments, and other compliance requirements. Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure financial records are complete and tax-ready, identifying and resolving issues that may impact reporting or compliance. Provide guidance to clients on tax planning, entity structure considerations, compliance obligations, and other federal and state tax matters. Research tax issues and interpret regulatory changes to support client advisory services and maintain compliance with evolving tax requirements. Respond to federal, state, and local tax authority inquiries, notices, and examinations, including preparing supporting documentation and coordinating resolution efforts. Maintain organized and thorough tax workpapers, documentation, and review processes in accordance with professional standards and firm policies. Review and improve tax processes, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Mentor and support junior team members through technical guidance, training, and review of work products as needed. Build and maintain strong client relationships by serving as a trusted advisor and delivering responsive, high-quality service. Qualifications for the
Tax Manager:
CPA 4-10
