Description Tax Manager - High-Net-Worth Individuals & Trusts | Reston, VA (Hybrid 3 days onsite) | $130-180K+Bonus Are you a seasoned Tax Manager with deep expertise in high-net-worth individual and trust taxation? We are seeking a polished, client-focused tax professional to join a respected and growing wealth management and advisory firm that delivers integrated tax, financial planning, and investment solutions to affluent individuals, executives, families, and institutional clients. This is an outstanding opportunity for a CPA who enjoys both technical tax leadership and meaningful collaboration with financial planners and advisors. The role offers a blend of tax review, planning, research, mentoring, and strategic advisory work in a high-touch, relationship-driven environment. What You'll Do + Serve as a key technical tax resource for the firm + Review and assist in the preparation of individual and trust income tax returns + Partner with financial planners on the tax strategy component of comprehensive financial plans + Support tax projections, tax modeling, and ad hoc research requests + Calculate quarterly estimated tax payments for clients as needed + Research and apply tax law, IRS guidance, and support return positions + Assist with responses to tax notices and examinations + Help train and guide seasonal tax preparers + Prepare and deliver educational content for staff and clients on new tax legislation, planning strategies, and practice issues + Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives requested by leadership Why This Role This position is ideal for a tax professional who wants to be more than a return reviewer. Requirements What We're Looking For + Active CPA license + 10+ years of experience preparing and reviewing individual income tax returns + Strong background serving high-net-worth individuals, corporate executives, and families with complex tax needs preferred + Experience with multi-state taxation, and tax planning + Experience with Trust returns preferred but not required + Exposure to foreign income and asset reporting, pass-through entities, sole proprietorships, and expatriate tax matters is a plus + Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Adobe PDF, and BNA Income Tax Planner + Experience in a paperless environment + Prior experience with ProSystem fx or CCH Axcess preferred + Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Please apply directly to this job posting for immediate consideration.
