Very few firms still have it. Somewhere along the way, a lot of firms became too corporate, too political, or too focused on growth at all costs. This firm took a different approach. For more than 40 years, they've built a successful practice by looking after their clients and looking after their people. Today they're a 30 person firm with a 7 person tax team, but it still feels like the kind of place where people know each other, help each other, and enjoy coming to work. The interesting part? The compensation, benefits, technology, and client work are far more in line with what you'd expect from a much larger firm. The firm has invested heavily in modernising its systems, bringing in the same technology used by larger regional firms, without bringing the long hours and bureaucracy that often come with them. The client base is diverse and sophisticated, ranging from local business owners to multi generational families with net worths exceeding $30 million. You'll work across a blend of approximately 60% individual tax and 40% business tax, with significant exposure to High Net Worth individuals, Trusts, Estates, and tax planning projects. This isn't a firm looking for someone to simply review returns. The Partner is looking for someone who can become a key part of the leadership team. Someone capable of managing client relationships, supporting and developing staff, handling technical matters, and acting as a trusted resource across the department. The role offers genuine visibility and influence within the firm, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced Tax Manager who enjoys the people side of public accounting just as much as the technical side.
