Position Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Tax Manager/Senior Tax Manager to join their growing tax practice. This role is ideal for a motivated CPA who enjoys managing client relationships, mentoring staff, and providing proactive tax planning and consulting services. The Tax Manager/Senior Tax Manager will oversee multiple engagements, review complex tax returns, and work closely with partners to deliver exceptional client service. Key Responsibilities Manage a diverse portfolio of business and individual tax clients. Review federal and state tax returns, including: Partnerships (Form 1065) S Corporations (Form 1120S) C Corporations (Form 1120) Individuals (Form 1040) Trusts and Estates (Form 1041) Provide year-round tax planning and consulting services. Research complex tax issues and prepare technical memoranda. Manage multiple engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget expectations. Develop and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor. Supervise, coach, and mentor senior associates and staff accountants. Review workpapers and provide constructive feedback to improve technical quality. Coordinate with partners on engagement planning, staffing, and client communications. Identify opportunities to improve client processes and expand advisory services. Stay current on federal and state tax law changes and communicate their impact to clients and internal teams. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation is a plus. CPA license preferred or actively pursuing completion. 4-10 years of recent public accounting tax experience. Experience reviewing complex business and individual tax returns. Strong knowledge of partnership, S corporation, corporate, and individual taxation. Experience managing multiple client engagements and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and project management abilities. Proficiency with tax preparation and research software (CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, GoSystem, or similar). Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Preferred Experience Experience serving closely held businesses and their owners. Multi-state tax experience. Exposure to tax planning, consulting, and business advisory services. Experience training and developing junior staff. Familiarity with manufacturing, professional services, real estate, construction, nonprofit, or healthcare industries. Salary range:
