Job Description

If you're already operating at manager level or above in tax, but the path ahead feels crowded, this could be a smart move. This is a Tax Partner or Director role with a regional CPA firm that is growing, investing heavily in technology and creating space for people who want to move forward. You'll have the infrastructure, resources and support of a much larger firm, without stepping into a rigid Big 4-style environment. The firm is backed, well-funded and already advanced in its use of AI, technology transformation and process improvement. They're not afraid of this, they are embracing this, not to eliminate human jobs, but to make everyones life easier. The firm is growing, well-funded and actively investing in its future, which creates a genuine path to Partner for someone who wants to keep moving forward. You will be compensated well, including equity options at all levels, giving you a chance to benefit from the firm's continued growth.
The culture here:
Collaborative, well-resourced and forward-thinking. You'll have national support, strong internal resources and the backing of a larger platform, but still be part of a team where people know each other and where good people can move quickly. The firm is hybrid, with around 2 to 3 days a week in the Braintree office.
Job description:
You'll work across commercial tax clients, with a strong focus on partnerships, S corps and other flow-through entities. The role will involve reviewing tax returns, workpapers and projections, managing client relationships, supporting planning and consulting work, and helping resolve technical tax issues. You'll also coach and mentor staff, oversee the tax return process, support business development activity and work closely with partners on client planning and delivery. A little individual tax experience would be helpful, but the core of the role is commercial tax rather than HNW or financial services.
