This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead and manage complex tax engagements, ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing various tax returns, advising clients on tax strategies, and maintaining strong client relationships. The position requires a solid understanding of tax law, technical accounting, and effective communication skills to serve a diverse client base. Duties Prepare and review individual, partnership, corporate, and trust income tax returns with accuracy and adherence to applicable regulations. Manage tax compliance processes for clients, ensuring timely filing of all required documentation. Conduct tax reporting activities, including analyzing financial data to ensure proper reporting in accordance with current tax laws. Provide expert guidance on tax law changes and their implications for clients' financial situations. Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, explain complex tax concepts, and advise on tax planning strategies. Assist in technical accounting matters related to taxation and financial reporting. Support the firm's overall tax services by staying updated on relevant legislation and industry best practices. Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery and maintain client satisfaction. Qualifications 5 years+ experience in public accounting with a focus on tax preparation and compliance. Strong knowledge of individual, partnership, corporate, and trust income tax returns. Familiarity with local tax laws and regulations relevant to a single-office firm setting. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Technical proficiency in accounting software (mainly QuickBooks desktop and QuickBooks online) and tax reporting tools (UltraTax). Ability to interpret and apply current tax laws accurately while providing strategic advice. Relevant professional certifications such as CPA, EA or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory.
