Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation, finance, or a related field. Active CPA license, active attorney license, or Enrolled Agent credential; CPA preferred. At least five years of progressive public-accounting tax experience, including substantial direct experience serving tax-exempt organizations. Experience serving higher education, research organizations, healthcare or health-and-welfare entities, membership associations, cultural organizations, religious organizations, or large multi-entity nonprofit structures. Experience with exempt-organization tax controversy, exemption applications, restructuring, transactions, or unrelated business income planning. Track record of standardizing engagement processes or building a nonprofit tax delivery model. Master's degree in taxation, LL.M. in taxation, or another relevant advanced degree.
