This role owns the full tax cycle — from compliance and reconciliation to audits and process improvement — and serves as the primary point of contact for all tax-related matters. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment and understands the complexities of restaurant or franchise operations.
What You'll Do:
Oversee all federal, state, and local tax compliance (sales & use, income, payroll) Manage relationships with external tax firms and review all filings for accuracy Audit tax returns, reconcile tax accounts, and ensure proper accruals Prepare and submit timely tax payments and filings across multiple entities Handle tax audits and serve as the main liaison with auditors and agencies Reconcile withholdings and ensure alignment with payroll and financial data Maintain and improve tax processes, systems, and reporting accuracy Partner with finance leadership to streamline workflows and reduce risk
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Tax Manager, Tax Analyst, or similar role Strong background in multi-state tax compliance (sales & use, payroll, income) Experience in restaurant, franchise, or multi-unit environments strongly preferred Hands-on experience with tax audits, reconciliations, and general ledger alignment Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (ERP experience a plus) Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment High level of integrity and ownership This role is ideal for someone who can take full ownership of the tax function, ensure accuracy across all filings, and continuously improve processes in a complex, multi-location business.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
