Job Description

M2S Group is seeking a tax professional to manage the compliance function of our $1B multinational corporation. M2S Group is private equity owned manufacturer based in Appleton, WI, owning five operating companies involved in material sciences.
Expected Results:
Manage the company tax calendar and perform timely filings and payments for all tax types including income tax, property tax, sales tax and miscellaneous filings required by federal, state and international tax authorities (including Canadian GST among other international jurisdictions). Prepare work papers in support of the federal/state income tax returns and manage the relationship with tax preparers. Prepare tax provision prepared in accordance with GAAP. Respond to federal, state, and local authority inquiries and audits. Respond to government survey requests for information.
Supporting Activities:
Analyze the tax impacts of proposed business strategies. Assist accounting department with month end close and other technical accounting needs; analyzing and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and prepare monthly journal entries as required. Provide assistance with year-end financial audit with external auditor.
Required Prior Accomplishments, Experience, Skills :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required. 3+ years tax experience required; public accounting experience preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification desired. Ability to communicate information timely and effectively to a broad range of audiences.
