Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Preparer to join our dynamic financial team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and compliant tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and organizations. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex tax laws, optimize their financial outcomes, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in tax accounting while contributing to the financial success of our clients. Duties Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns with precision and attention to detail, ensuring full compliance with current tax laws and regulations. Analyze financial documents such as income statements, balance sheets, and ledger entries to accurately calculate taxable income and deductions. Conduct thorough review of client records using accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar tools to ensure accuracy. Provide guidance on tax-related issues including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and regulatory reporting requirements. Experience Proven experience in tax preparation with a strong background in tax experience across various industries including public accounting or corporate accounting. Familiarity with accounting concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting. Hands-on experience with multiple accounting software platforms including QuickBooks or similar financial software tools. Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data accurately and interpret complex financial concepts like GAAP standards or regulatory requirements. Ability to work efficiently under deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards in all deliverables.
