Enrolled Agent As an Enrolled Agent, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert tax guidance and representation to clients. Your knowledge of tax laws and regulations will empower individuals and businesses to navigate their financial obligations with confidence. You'll be the go-to resource for tax planning, compliance, and resolution, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service. What you'll do Prepare and file individual and business tax returns while ensuring compliance with current tax laws. Provide strategic tax planning advice, including estate planning and corporate accounting strategies. Represent clients in front of the IRS for audits, appeals, and other tax-related matters. Analyze financial statements and prepare detailed reports to support client needs. Conduct thorough account reconciliations and maintain accurate records using accounting software like QuickBooks, TaxAct and OLTPro. Stay updated on changes in tax legislation, GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and securities law to provide informed advice. Collaborate with clients on financial concepts such as budgeting, asset management, and investment strategies. Basic qualifications Strong understanding of tax accounting principles and practices. Proficient in double-entry bookkeeping and general ledger accounting. Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. Preferred qualifications Experience with financial report writing and interpretation. Familiarity with auditing processes and regulatory reporting requirements. Knowledge of non-profit accounting practices is a plus. Proficiency in financial software such as Sage or other relevant tools.
