In this energetic role, you will leverage your expertise in tax law, accounting, and financial concepts to prepare accurate and compliant tax returns. Your proactive approach will ensure clients receive optimal benefits while adhering to regulatory standards. Duties Prepare individual, corporate, and non-profit tax returns with precision, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations using Drake Tax and Ultra Tax Software Work closely with our case management and resolution team to support clients navigating IRS issues Review prior-year returns to identify errors, missed deductions, and resolution opportunities Communicate directly with clients to gather financial documents and explain their options with clarity and confidence Collaborate with our Enrolled Agents and resolution specialists on complex tax situations Contribute to a positive, high-performance team culture where your work genuinely matters Experience 2+years of experience preparing individual and/or business tax returns (CPA firm, franchise, or independent experience all welcome) Hands-on experience with Drake Tax Software and Ultra tax strongly preferred Enrolled Agent (EA) is a definite plus Proven experience in tax preparation with a strong background in accounting and finance principles. Demonstrated knowledge of tax law, regulatory compliance accounting, and technical accounting standards. Familiarity with accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks or equivalent financial software tools. Experience working in public accounting or private sector roles involving individual tax, corporate tax expertise, or non-profit accounting. Strong analysis skills for financial report writing and interpretation alongside account reconciliation expertise. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly and professionally.
