This energetic position offers the opportunity to utilize your tax experience and accounting knowledge to help individuals and small businesses navigate complex tax laws with confidence. As a key member of our team, you will provide personalized tax solutions, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and contribute to clients' financial success through meticulous analysis and strategic planning. Duties Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and non-profit organizations using advanced accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage. Conduct detailed tax planning sessions, advising clients on estate planning, trusts, wills, and estate law to optimize their financial outcomes. Analyze financial statements and reports to identify potential deductions, credits, and opportunities for tax savings while ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IRS regulations. Assist clients with complex issues such as mergers & acquisitions, private equity transactions, or securities law considerations by providing expert guidance on tax implications. Reconcile accounts and perform balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial data reporting. Support regulatory reporting requirements by preparing accurate financial reports and conducting audits when necessary. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other relevant regulations to provide compliant advice. Engage in financial analysis and report interpretation to help clients understand their financial position and plan accordingly. Collaborate with team members on bookkeeping tasks such as accounts payable, payroll processing, and general ledger accounting to support comprehensive financial management. Spanish Bi-Lingual Preferred Requirements Proven experience in tax preparation with strong knowledge of tax accounting principles and technical accounting standards. Familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; proficiency in financial software is essential. Solid understanding of financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, asset management, budgeting, and financial statement preparation. Experience working with non-profit accounting, GAAP standards, regulatory reporting, and account reconciliation processes. Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately. Excellent communication skills to explain technical information clearly to clients with varying levels of financial literacy. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
