Position Overview We are seeking a junior-level Tax & Accounting Associate to support tax preparation, bookkeeping, and operational workflow. This is a growth-oriented role ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, take initiative, and expand their responsibilities over time. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a foundational understanding of tax and accounting principles and a desire to grow within a small firm environment. Why This Role is Open As the firm continues to grow, there is a need for additional support to manage increasing client volume, streamline workflows, and improve overall efficiency—especially during peak tax seasons. Key Responsibilities + Assist with tax preparation support for individual and corporate returns + Support bookkeeping activities and maintain accurate financial records + Help coordinate tax season workflow, including tracking deliverables and deadlines + Review basic tax returns and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy + Collaborate with internal team members to ensure timely completion of work + Assist with client communication and follow-ups as needed + Utilize tools such as UltraTax CS and TaxDome to manage documents and workflows + Support general administrative and operational tasks to help improve firm efficiency Requirements Accounting background required with foundational knowledge of tax (individual and corporate preferred) Familiarity with tax preparation workflows and ability to review returns with some independence Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills Experience with or willingness to learn UltraTax CS, TaxDome, and Excel Self-starter with a growth mindset and willingness to take on new responsibilities Ideal Candidate Profile + Early-career accounting professional looking to grow within a CPA firm + Go-getter attitude with curiosity and initiative + Comfortable working in a remote, collaborative environment + Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities, especially during busy seasons + Interest in contributing beyond core responsibilities, including improving processes and supporting firm growth Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
