This firm has spent nearly 30 years building a tax practice that runs differently. They describe themselves as a well organised operation, and one of the practical benefits is simple. There is no fall busy season. The firm combines tax advisory and financial planning, supporting High Net Worth Individuals, business owners, and wealthy families across Dallas Fort Worth. Around 75% of the work is focused on individual tax matters, including 1040s and 1041s. The remaining 25% supports clients with their business interests across entities including 1120s and 1065s. For someone who enjoys private client tax, it gives you the chance to work with established clients, understand the wider picture around their finances, and develop beyond simply preparing the next return. Why this could be a better move You will be working in a smaller environment where good work is easier to notice. You will have access to six established CPAs who are available to guide you without standing over your shoulder. You will get exposure to clients whose personal and business tax positions are often closely connected, which should help you build a broader understanding of the advice they need. And if you want to progress, there is room to do it. The firm can offer a path from Senior into Manager level responsibility, but there is no expectation that everyone has to move at the same pace. If stability matters most to you, that is available. If you want to keep progressing, there is room for that too. What the team is like There are six established CPAs within the firm. The approach is supportive rather than heavily supervised. You will have experienced people around you when you need guidance, while still being trusted to manage your own work and develop your judgement. That should suit someone who wants access to senior professionals without feeling constantly monitored. Hybrid working After an initial settling in period, you can work from home one or two days each week if you choose. The firm still values time together as a team, but there is flexibility once you are established and comfortable in the role. Who could fit This should suit a down to earth tax professional who enjoys working in a smaller team and dealing with quality private clients. You may already be working as a Tax Preparer, Tax Staff, or Senior within public accounting. A CPA would be welcomed, and the firm is also open to someone who is working toward becoming licensed. More important is having a solid tax foundation, being dependable with clients and deadlines, and wanting to keep developing. Compensation $80,000 to $100,000 Start with a conversation You do not need to match every point above. And you do not need an updated résumé before getting in touch.
