Overview Xpress Tax & Biz Solutions is seeking professional, motivated, and detail-oriented Tax Preparers to join our team for the upcoming tax season. In this role, you will assist individual and small business clients with their tax preparation needs while providing accurate, timely, and courteous service. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working with financial information, and committed to maintaining a high standard of professionalism and client care. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review individual and small business tax returns accurately and efficiently. Review client documents and information to ensure returns are complete and properly prepared. Enter and organize tax and financial information using tax preparation software. Follow up professionally with clients regarding missing or additional documentation. Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients throughout the tax preparation process. Maintain accurate and organized client records and documentation. Follow company procedures and applicable federal and state tax requirements. Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive client and financial information. Stay informed about relevant tax regulations, filing requirements, and industry updates. Participate in training and professional development opportunities. Provide a positive and professional client experience. Support approved client referral and business development initiatives when appropriate. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in tax preparation, accounting, bookkeeping, banking, financial services, or a related field is preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Comfortable working with numbers, financial information, and tax documents. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Professional and courteous approach to client service. Ability to learn and effectively use tax preparation software. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple client needs while meeting deadlines. Basic knowledge of individual or small business taxation is preferred. Willingness to learn, receive training, and continuously develop tax preparation skills. Strong data-entry and 10-key skills are a plus.
