Senior Tax Preparer

Job Summary Seaside Tax Advisors is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist individuals and businesses with preparing accurate tax returns while providing excellent customer service and maintaining compliance with federal and state tax laws. Responsibilities Prepare and file individual and small business tax returns Interview clients to gather financial and tax information Review financial records, income statements, and documentation Ensure tax filings are accurate and completed on time Stay current with federal and state tax regulations Identify deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities for clients Answer client questions regarding tax preparation and filings Maintain confidentiality of client financial information Assist with IRS or state notices when needed Maintain organized client records and documentation Qualifications Previous tax preparation experience preferred Knowledge of federal and state tax laws Familiarity with tax software ProConnect and QuickBooks Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially PTIN required (or willingness to obtain one) Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Time management and organizational skills Ability to work during busy tax season deadlines Professional and positive attitude Benefits Competitive pay Flexible scheduling Training and professional development opportunities Supportive team environment Bonus opportunities during tax season
