In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and compliant tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and corporate clients. Your expertise in tax law, accounting principles, and financial software will ensure clients receive thorough and timely tax services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your tax experience, customer service skills, and technical accounting knowledge to help clients optimize their financial outcomes while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. Responsibilities Prepare individual, partnership, corporate, and other tax returns using advanced tax preparation software and accounting tools such as QuickBooks and Sage. Analyze financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and supporting tax documents to ensure accuracy and completeness. Stay current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements to provide compliant advice and services. Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, explain tax strategies, and address questions or concerns regarding their filings. Assist clients with tax planning strategies to maximize deductions and credits while ensuring adherence to tax compliance standards. Maintain detailed records of all client interactions, tax documents, and filing statuses for audit readiness. Support client acquisition efforts by providing excellent customer service and building strong relationships that foster trust and repeat business. Experience Proven experience in public accounting or a similar role specializing in tax preparation and compliance. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws related to individual, partnership, corporate, and partnership taxes. Proficiency with tax reporting software as well as accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or equivalent financial tools. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data with precision using analysis skills and attention to detail. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on clarity, professionalism, and responsiveness. Familiarity with technical accounting concepts including partnership tax expertise and corporate accounting principles. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy; proficiency in 10 key typing is a plus.
