Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Preparer/Tax Accountant to assist in tax compliance and planning. Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and estate tax returns with precision and attention to detail Conduct thorough tax research on current laws, regulations, and compliance requirements including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) standards Assist with estate planning strategies, wills, trusts, and estate law considerations to optimize wealth transfer Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws through accurate tax reporting and documentation Review financial statements, perform account reconciliation, and analyze balance sheets for accuracy and regulatory adherence Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to tax filings and financial records Collaborate with clients to develop tailored tax solutions that align with their financial goals while adhering to securities law and other regulatory frameworks Experience Proven experience in tax preparation, tax law, or public accounting with a focus on individual and corporate taxation Strong background in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms for bookkeeping and financial reporting Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory compliance accounting including SOX controls and financial statement interpretation Familiarity with complex financial concepts such as mergers & acquisitions, private equity, asset management, and non-profit accounting Excellent client communication skills to explain technical accounting issues clearly and professionally Ability to perform detailed analysis skills including account analysis, account reconciliation, budgeting, and financial report writing Experience working within a team environment that emphasizes accuracy in double entry bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliation, and regulatory reporting Join us if you're passionate about leveraging your accounting expertise to deliver exceptional service while advancing your career in a vibrant professional setting. $30.00 - $41.08 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
