Job Description

About the Role Join our $120 million credit union as a Part-Time Teller / MSR. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the financial services industry, with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on business needs and performance. In this role, you will be the friendly face of our DC branch, helping members with their everyday banking needs. You will also handle important behind-the-scenes office work to keep our branch running smoothly. While prior customer service or cash-handling experience is preferred, we provide comprehensive training for the right candidate. We are looking for someone with great communication skills, a sharp eye for detail, and an eagerness to learn and grow with us.
Key Responsibilities Member Service:
Welcome members in person and provide fast, friendly, and accurate help with their accounts.
Teller Operations:
Process everyday financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, Money orders and cashier's checks and transfers between accounts. Balance cash drawers and cash recycler systems, researching and resolving discrepancies promptly. Receive, process, and distribute incoming mail to appropriate staff and departments.
Phone and Email Support:
Answer incoming phone calls and emails with a professional attitude. Provide support and information, including in-depth account research.
Digital Tools:
Use Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and banking software to keep files organized.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow credit union rules, policies, and security procedures to protect our members' money and privacy. Maintain bondability. What We Are Looking For Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. A positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
