Job Description

General Description Provides courteous and professional teller service to customers. Completes transactions accurately and efficiently according to established policies and procedures. Identify referral opportunities and make appropriate suggestions that best meet the customers' needs. Consistently seek to delight our customers by friendliness, including learning our customers and addressing them by name. Required to work some Saturday mornings. Reliable attendance is critical.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet and direct customers as they enter the bank. Responsible for answering incoming phone calls and assisting customers with their banking needs. Processes transactions accurately and efficiently. Controls teller cash drawer limits, and maintains an acceptable over/short difference. Cashes checks within assigned limits. Accepts deposits, withdrawals, and payments; Issues official checks; Redeems savings bonds. Process night deposits under dual control. Back up Head Tellers as needed with ATM, Vault, and Cash shipments. Follows proper procedures to comply with BSA, including but not limited to OFAC scans and CTR filings. Uses the opening and closing process for all accounts offered at CBC. Proactively analyzes customer relationships to ensure needs are met. Opens, closes, and provides access to safe boxes and files safe box agreements. Orders and sells personal and business products for all customers. Provides Notary service. Complete all deposit demand maintenance forms on accounts. Completes wire forms for domestic and international wires. Research and resolve problems either through direct personal action or referral to customer service manager. Maintains current knowledge of all bank products, services, and procedures. Keeps updated information and refers to the Customer Service Reference Manual as given by manager. Provides customers with information on deposit accounts, rates, service charges, restrictions, and other relevant account information. Assist customers with Online Banking including Bill Pay services, and debit card orders including maintenance and cancellations. Maintains a desired level of accuracy on work received by operations; files in a timely manner. Participates in all training opportunities; stays up to date with required Compliance courses and related tests. Utilizes knowledge of products and services, the corporate mission, corporate policies and procedures in the performance of job responsibilities. Understands and abides by all security policies and procedures. Assists with openingclosing procedures; Assists with maintaining security codes and alarm functions.
