Summary:
This position is for lobby and drive-up teller duties and will report directly to the branch manager. The primary responsibilities of this position include accurately conducting all credit & debit transactions in compliance with established bank policies and procedures, quality customer service and the ability to handle cash. Must have the ability to prioritize and make on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions, weighing customer satisfaction issues with Bank exposure to loss or fraud. Must comply with all local, state, and federal laws; adherence to Bank policy and procedure required.

N/A Essential Duties:
Provide excellent customer service to both internal & external customers Cash checks and pay out money after proper verification, i.e. verifying signatures, verifying that written and numerical amounts agree and that accounts have sufficient funds Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts and check accuracy Examine checks for endorsements and verify other info such as dates/identification Enter customer transactions into system, issue computer generated receipts Identify and correct any transaction errors Prepare and verify cashier's check and money orders Process other transactions such as night drop/mail, handle receipts & recording of those properly Assist customers with transactions, requests and inquiries Receive and process loan payments Prepare paperwork for wire transfers Properly stamp teller documents Issue license plate stickers Receive and count coin and wrap; receive cash and properly bundle Maintain adequate cash supply and verify cash at close of day Buy and sell cash from vault in accordance with established cash limits Scan proof work and transmit files to bookkeeping (if applicable) Build relationships with bank customers and recommend different bank products and/or services that help meet the financial needs of the customer Balance drawer daily, adhering to the Bank Teller Balancing Policy Maintain appropriate currency logs and complete in a timely manner Assist in answering multi-line phone system Refer customers to the proper bank employees when needed Identify counterfeit currency Accept county property tax payments and process according to policy Cross-sell Bank products & Services Follow all Bank policies and procedures Complete annual compliance training

Perform and assume other related duties as assigned. Relationship Banker duties may apply.

Training and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required, working knowledge of the banking industry, rules and regulations May also be high school student pursuing high school diploma Strong oral and written communication skills Attention to detail and confident ability to make decisions while handling various tasks Strong organizational skills Self-motivated Ability to enter data into a computer and work with required computer programs Ability to adjust quickly to different work situations and demands, remain composed under pressure and during stressful situations Able to adjust to change within the organization and to portray a positive image to others Must be able to communicate thoughts, clearly, both orally and written
