Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Teller/New Accounts develops and maintains retail banking business of prospective and existing customers to address customer needs by referring products and services, receiving, and paying out money, and maintaining records of money and negotiable instruments involved in financial transactions.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete knowledge of Teller Line duties is included in Teller/New Accounts duties. Represent the Bank in a positive, courteous, and professional manner & attire, by greeting and addressing the customer by name. Provide Excellent Customer Service. Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service while processing customer transactions. Provide quality customer service on existing and new deposit and loan customer relationships. Thorough knowledge of computer systems to enter and retrieve information effectively. Perform all required maintenance on accounts and submit paperwork to the appropriate departments. Provide customer service for Basic client issues including issuing new Debit cards, change pin numbers and maintenance. Assist in online banking including approving mobile deposits, pin resets and problems with log ins. Provide service to customers by reprinting statements, assist clients with wires, and open non-commercial accounts. Meet goals and objectives set by Senior Management and the Board of Directors Comply with the Bank's policies and procedures. Comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations including but not limited to compliance. Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisor responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
This position requires a high school diploma or GED.
Experience:
1 years of previous banking experience, 3 years or more preferred.
Certifications/Licenses:
None Skills:
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are required for this position. Intermediate skills in Bank used Banking software (or ability to learn software). Understanding of banking industry regulations, data privacy laws, and compliance requirements is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Keyboarding skills are required for this position.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Working Conditions:
Professional Retail building.
Physical Demands:
The ability to stand for long periods of time. The ability to see clearly at a distance of 20 inches or less, with or without corrective lenses, to read documents and/or view computer screen. The ability to hear, with or without hearing assistant, and talk and to communicate in person and via phone. The use of a keyboard and computer daily.
