About Us:

Today, members appreciate all the benefits that come with belonging to Family Horizons. We are currently seeking a floating Member Service Representative (MSR). This position is based out of our Indianapolis branch and requires travel to our Greenfield branch as needed. As a MSR with Family Horizons, you will assist members in meeting their financial goals, "One Member at a Time."
Position Summary:
Perform various transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with a high degree of accuracy. Maintain accurate transactional records, providing basic cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. Order debit cards, assist with Mobile and Home Banking questions, resolve issues, and professionally handle the member's daily needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome members to the credit union. Provide prompt, accurate, and efficient service when processing member transactions. Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products, services, policies and procedures, rules, and regulations. Develop rapport with members and uncover cross-selling opportunities through relationship building. Process member deposits, check and cash withdrawals, and ensure payment amounts are applied correctly when processing loan payments. Place appropriate holds on funds for checks being presented. Count, verify, and package coin and currency. Balance cash drawer at the end of each shift. Research and resolve discrepancies. Report discrepancies to a supervisor when necessary. Report malfunctions of teller terminals and other equipment at the teller station. Check night depository and record proper information according to credit union procedures. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Adhere to all security procedures and regulatory guidelines for Reg CC, the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and USA Patriot Act/Customer Identification Act (CIP). Maintain confidentiality of current, past, and potential members and their personal and financial information. This position requires travel between our Indianapolis and Greenfield location. Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to establish and maintain a positive, professional image to members and co-workers. Excellent member service skills. Strong prioritizing and organizational skills. Must have the ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment. Must be dependable and have excellent attendance. Must be available to work at least 40 hours per week (Saturday work required). Must be bondable for credit union insurance purposes. Must be able to maintain a high level of concentration over a large volume of highly detailed work. Must be able to use standard office equipment and Microsoft Office suite. Must be able to take direction and make appropriate changes when necessary. High school diploma or GED required. Experience in cash handling is preferred. Indoor office setting at a retail branch with moderate noise level.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to work in an office environment, stand and sit for extended periods of time, bend, reach outward, and lift objects. Extended periods of time viewing and utilizing a computer and other office equipment.
