This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing excellent service, and wants to build experience in the financial-services industry. As a Teller, you will be one of the first people our members see when they visit Campus Credit Union. You will help members with their everyday financial transactions, answer questions, introduce them to Credit Union products and services, and help create the welcoming, personal experience our members expect. Previous banking or credit union experience is helpful, but not required . We are willing to train the right person who brings a strong work ethic, excellent customer-service skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Work Schedule The regular schedule for this position is: Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM through branch closing The position will also include occasional Saturday hours . Because this position provides important afternoon and closing coverage, dependable attendance and the ability to consistently work through the end of the business day are essential. What You'll Do As a Part-Time Afternoon Teller, you will: Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to Campus Credit Union members. Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, check cashing, cashier's checks, and other financial transactions. Maintain and accurately balance an assigned cash drawer. Assist members with routine account and service questions. Help members understand available Campus Credit Union products, services, online banking, mobile banking, debit cards, and other financial tools. Identify member needs and connect members with the appropriate Credit Union team member when additional assistance may be beneficial. Protect confidential member and Credit Union information. Follow established cash-handling, security, fraud-prevention, and regulatory procedures. Remain alert for unusual or suspicious transactions and appropriately escalate concerns. Assist with end-of-day teller balancing and branch closing responsibilities. Work cooperatively with other employees to provide an exceptional member experience. Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have: A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education or experience. Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. A professional and friendly attitude. Dependable and punctual attendance. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new technology. The ability to handle cash and financial transactions accurately. The ability to maintain confidential financial and personal information. Strong communication skills. The ability to follow established procedures and security requirements. The ability to work effectively as part of a team. The ability to remain professional during busy periods or challenging member interactions. Consistent availability to work the required afternoon and closing schedule. Experience Previous experience in any of the following areas is helpful: Customer service Cash handling Retail Banking Credit unions Financial services Previous financial-institution experience is not required.
