In this role, you will oversee daily operations of the local member services department, ensuring exceptional member experiences while managing a diverse team. Your leadership will drive service excellence, foster a positive team environment, and support organizational goals through effective management, communication, and analysis skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by guiding your team to deliver outstanding service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Supervise the activities of the teller operations area by assigning work, answering questions, solving problems, helping with complex transactions and sensitive member relations problems. Explain policies and procedures to members as a communication tool. Ensure that staff is trained and cross-trained in all phases of their particular jobs to ensure the delivery of quality service to members and to ensure accuracy in transactions. Manage and recommend the purchase of equipment and supplies. Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of all State and Federal regulations that are applicable to the transactions performed in the cashier/teller area. Knowledge of all credit union policies and processes within the teller area. Ensure that safety and security policies are up to date and training is provided on the safety and security procedures. Serve as a vault teller for the credit union, which includes ordering the cash and currency from the Federal Reserve, verifying cash received, filling teller cash orders, maintaining full vault security, and balancing vault cash nightly. Approve member exceptions and authorize service fee refunds to members when deemed necessary. Oversee proper availability of daily cash, money orders, and traveler's checks. Investigate teller losses and institute corrective flow of work and/or corrective disciplinary action where required. Study the workflow on an on-going basis to determine staffing requirements. Oversee work schedules for full-time and part-time employees in the teller area to ensure proper service to members. Oversee all aspects of the Main Office Member Service Department, including the organization, planning, supervision, and coordination of the day-to-day operations in conjunction with the Operations Officer. Develop, apply, and evaluate policies and procedures for the operations departments. Receive recommendations from other employees to make appropriate changes or enhancements to policies, procedures, and products. Recommend policies, procedures, and products beneficial to the Credit Union and its members. Draft and develop internal service procedures. Create in-house forms and documents to provide for more efficient service/processing. Assist Member Service Representatives as needed and perform relief duties related to the operations function. Process cash orders through the appropriate software for all locations. Process and verify wire transfers when needed. Maintain Closed Share notices. Maintain Returned Mail and input and store Form 3547 as needed. Process Negative Shares report daily and send Members Negative Share letters when appropriate. Perform Name and Address Maintenance audits. Perform Joint Owner Audits. Monitor Bad Address Transactions. Research and resolve and/or perform corrections to transactions. Make decisions on accounts in respect to re-issuing debit cards, re-opening accounts and/or returning fees. Calculate and process dividend adjustments. Contact the appropriate representative to assist in resolving concerns associated with procedures handled at the Main Office, such as ACH, Cards, and Share Draft processing, etc. Perform monthly audits on all cash located at the Main Office. Process and review requests for Mobile Check Deposit. Provide backup and relief duties to the Operations Officer when needed and as assigned.
