Join our team as a Teller!
About the role:
Maine Savings Federal Credit Union is looking for a Teller for our Milo location, and your mission is to assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Accurately processes member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments and processes corporate checks. Transfers amounts from member accounts as directed and maintains member records Provides excellent and professional member service consistent with Maine Savings standards. Accurately balances cash drawer and daily transactions consistent with The Teller Outage Policies and Procedures Has sufficient product knowledge to enable Credit Union cross-selling opportunities Satisfies all parameters consistent with the Teller Progression Plan for Teller 1. May be required to work occasional Saturdays. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Experience:
One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
Education:
A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills:
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills:
Ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Must be good with detail to deal with numbers and names.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, occasional sitting, bending, reaching, walking; ability to keyboard for extended periods of time. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance. More about
