Job Description

SUMMARY Assist customers with their financial transactions, involving cash handling, check processing and account management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Serve as a trusted first point of contact by delivering friendly, personalized service that reflects the bank's commitment to integrity and community. Process customer transactions (cash deposits, withdrawals, transfers etc.) accurately and efficiently. Maintain and balance cash drawers and reconcile discrepancies. Packaging cash and rolling coins to be stored in drawers or the bank vault. Identify customer needs and suggest appropriate bank services. Build and maintain customer loyalty by providing excellent customer service. Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner. Ensure compliance with all financial policies and regulations. Report suspicious transactions to management. Ensure customer information remains confidential and secure. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. One year of relevant work experience preferred. Previous banking experience or cash handling is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Strong mathematical skills in both basic arithmetic and fractions and percentages.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Ability to operate computer and Microsoft Office software. Ability to operate general office equipment, such as a telephone, copier, printer and fax machine. Ability to operate internal bank software.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to be informative and provide professional assistance when working with the public. Ability to provide good oral and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task, use common sense, and be patient. Ability to work with a wide array of people. Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships, which encourage openness with customers and peers. Ability to provide accurate, professional and error free documents. Demonstration of broad knowledge of departmental operations, policies, and procedures. Demonstration of basic understanding of bank products. Ability to recognize irregular or suspicious transactions and taking appropriate steps to prevent loss.
