Job Description

Equitable Bank is looking for an experienced teller to join our Grand Island team. This position is a full-time position, hours will vary Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Job Description Summary:
This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently and accurately processing customer s transactions.
Job Functions:
Responsible for comprehensive, prompt and efficient processing of customer transactions Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsements and enters deposits into computer records. Balances cash drawer at the end of the shift. Reports any discrepancies to supervisor. Explains bank services and charges to customers Ensures that the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc. Cashes checks from a variety of accounts upon proper verification Receives mortgage, consumer loan and other payments and enters into computer. Issues Official Checks and Gift Cards. Reports malfunctions of teller terminals and other equipment used at the teller station. Cross-sells bank products and services as appropriate. Performs all other duties as assigned such as counting coin and currency, general receptionist duties, filing, etc. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent 1+ years customer service experience Banking experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products Excellent communication skills, including verbal and phone Creativity and resourcefulness Excellent time management skills Ability to handle multiple priorities and ensure accurate and timely completion of all tasks Member FDIC, Equal Housing Lender, Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
