The Teller/CSR is responsible for providing customers with high quality, prompt, and professional financial services. As a single point of contact, performs a variety of customer banking transactions and provides quality service to existing and new customers in accordance with the rules, regulations, and guidelines of the Bank. Participates in the development of customer relationships by cross-selling banking products and services as appropriate.
Responsibilities:
Represent the bank in a professional manner. Assist customers with daily banking transactions, cashing checks, deposits, transferring funds, loan payments, ordering checks, and non-negotiable instruments. Perform account maintenance, information updates such as address changes, phone numbers and stop payments. Process deposits from night depository, ATM settlement and complete currency transaction reports as needed. Balance cash drawer daily; verify and wrap currency; follow teller performance guidelines when processing cash differences, and complete end-of-day processing. Answer telephone calls and assist customers and employees in a professional, prompt, and courteous manner. Assist with inquiries concerning accounts, overdrafts, fees, and password resets. Open and close accounts including checking, savings, certificates of deposit, IRA's, HSA's according to customer needs. Cross-sell bank services, explaining the various types of accounts, certificates, interest, and compounding rates. Be knowledge and educate customers on emerging bank technology and digital solutions. Processes all customer-related financial transactions in accordance with the rules, regulations, and guidelines of the Bank. Complete compliance training. Comply with all bank laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with bank policies and procedures. Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or a GED. Basic math and proficient computer skills. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally. Ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently. Reliable attendance. Retail sales, customer service, and cash handling experience is a plus.
Work Environment:
Indoor work - not exposed to outdoor elements or hazards. Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time. Occasional sedentary work lifting and/carrying up to 50 lbs.
