Job Description
Summary Here at Somerset Trust Company, being the "face of Somerset Trust Company", we seek applicants who are friendly, reliable, and wants to provide excellent customer service. The teller role involves handling check cashing and deposits, loan payments, product explanation, and being able to identify opportunities to refer customers as needed, as well as providing personable, quick, service while performing a set of regular procedures. This role requires to demonstrate a professional, respectful, and positive work environment when interacting with fellow colleagues and customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with consistent accuracy. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties may be assigned. Greets customers with a smile. Assist with opening and closing the branch. Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsement. Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances. Balances cash drawer and daily transactions. Enters customer's transactions into computer to record transactions, and issues computer generated receipts. Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at the end of the shift and compare totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen. Recognizes opportunities to explain, promote, or sell financial products or services offered by the bank. Ability to multitask. Removed deposits from, and counts and balances cash in, and night depository. Resolves customer's issues as they arise. Understand and support all BSA/AML responsibilities as applicable to the position as well as consistently, accurately, and timely carry out these responsibilities in compliance with the Bank's internal policies Perform other related work and duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
