Job Description
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
Provide service to credit union members by conducting appropriate transactions and meeting the needs of members by referring them to corresponding departments in the credit union. To fill orders for currency and coins; to count and note cash deposits in the credit reports. The position will require a thorough understanding of credit union products and services to ensure complete member satisfaction.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 1.
Teller Duties:
- Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning services. Directs members to appropriate department for specific information and service.
- Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments; sells products to members; makes transfers to and from member accounts as directed.
- Balances cash box daily and immediately reports outages and/or overages to supervisor.
- May assist members with address change requests, or other contact information.
- Assists members with other transactions such as cash advances on their credit card, purchasing credit union checks or money orders.
- Promotes credit union products and services. 2. Security and BSA
- Complies with all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) to help detect and prevent money laundering, including but not limited to submitting Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) for cash transactions over $10,000.

policy. 3. Compliance- Complies with ALL Credit Union policies, including but not limited to, all aspects of BSA and CIP.
- Ensures appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared.
- Abides by all applicable rules, regulations and Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Properly secures member information in accordance with Credit Union privacy and confidentiality policies.
- Ensures work area is neat and safe.
- Completes required training for position within deadlines.
