Friendswood, TX Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Customer communication High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Summary/Objective The teller processes all teller transactions while providing friendly service in a professional manner.
Essential Functions Process the following:
checking and savings deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete hold notices when applicable. Cash checks Issue Cashier's Checks. Redeem U.S. Savings Bonds. Buy and sell currency while maintaining appropriate drawer limits. Identify counterfeit currency. Answer basic customer inquiries regarding products, service charges and account transactions. Build customer relationships by offering additional bank products and services. Refer customers to the proper department for issues that cannot be resolved at the teller line. Ensure teller station is properly supplied and kept neat and orderly. Follow procedures for removing accounts from dormancy. Balance drawer daily, including periodic batching of cashed checks. Maintain appropriate currency logs. Follow all bank policies and procedures. Counts and records currency and coin in vault. Any other duties assigned by Branch Manager. Responsible for ensuring the Code of Ethics are being followed at all times. Responsible for reporting any Code of Ethics/ Internal fraud violations. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Communication Proficiency Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, calculators, and scanners.
Physical Demands:
This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping, or standing as necessary. This position requires lifting bags and boxes of coins.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work may by staggered, Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5 pm (or 6 pm), and rotating Saturdays.
Travel:
No travel is normally expected for this position. However, temporary placement at other locations may occur due to vacation, illness, or staff shortage. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Customer service experience. Preferred Education and Experience Previous cash handling experience. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Multi-lingual capabilities to include Spanish are a plus. EOE/AA Disability/Veteran
