Full Job Description Summary:
o The Teller position is responsible for providing excellent customer service while performing a variety of lobby and drive-thru transactions for bank customers by assisting them with processing routine financial transaction on a day-to-day basis. The position requires prompt, efficient, and accurate service when processing transactions in accordance with all bank policy and procedure.

Specific Job Functions:
o Responsible for comprehensive, prompt and efficient customer transactions o Receive checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement, and enters deposits into computer records o Count checks and packages coins and currency o Assist in bank-by-mail function o Issue cashier's checks and gift cards o Promote and explain other financial institution services such as a consumer and mortgage loan, IRA's, certificates of deposit, safe deposit boxes and cashier's checks o Responsible for checking night depository bags and recording proper information on the financial institution's forms o Receive consumer loan and other payments, and ensures the payments match balances due o Ensures the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc. o Balance cash drawer at the end of shift and compares totaled amount to computer-generated proof sheet o Report any discrepancies to the supervisor/management as necessary o Assist in balancing bank products at end of day. o Perform fraud review for mobile check deposits. o Assist in other daily teller tasks such as applying postage to outgoing mail, directing incoming faxes and mail and answer phones. o Will follow established processes and guidelines in daily activities and adhere to all applicable laws and regulations. Represent the bank in a professional manner during and outside of office hours o Demonstrate flexibility to perform every other duty as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Must be motivated, dependable and responsible Possess strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Sensitivity to confidential information is required Basic working knowledge of standard office equipment Strong attention to detail Ability to learn new systems quickly and effectively Highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent Relevant experience in banking or financial services a plus
Physical Requirements:
Position requires standing, walking, bending and squatting on a regular basis Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information Use of hands to make small movements such as typing and picking up small objects Visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or open machinery Must be able to travel to other branch locations when required Must be able to lift or push up to 15 pounds
